Adaptive stability and improved traction in every step.

The GEL-KAYANO® shoe offers the most stable running experience in our lineup. It’s designed to control each stride, resist movements that could cause injury, and provide soft landings with smooth transitions. Stability technology is especially important for runners who pronate—meaning their feet roll inward or outward with each step.

Adaptive Stability
As you log more miles, leg fatigue can lead to increased pronation. Our unique 4D GUIDANCE SYSTEM provides on-demand stability and support when you need it most.

Soft Landings
PureGELTM, the next evolution of our legendary GEL technology, provides an even softer feel and reduces impact absorption.

Energized Cushioning
Lightweight FF BLAST PLUS foam delivers a cushioned, energetic ride.

A Step Toward Better Foot Health
We’re proud to say that the GEL-KAYANO® 31 shoe has earned the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance. This means it was carefully evaluated by a committee of podiatrists — doctors who specialize in treating the foot, ankle, and structures of the leg — to ensure that it promotes good foot health. The committee also assesses safety, quality control, and other data, so you can step into your new shoes with confidence.

BEST FOR THE FOLLOWING RUNNING STYLE/S

Neutral

If you have neutral pronation in running, this means that you land on the outside of the heel and then roll inwards to distribute impact and weight more evenly across the foot. This style of running is less likely to cause injuries as the shock is spread and less strain is placed on small parts of the foot and leg.

BEST FOR THE FOLLOWING RUNNING STYLE/S

Overpronation

If you land on the outside of the heel and roll inwards to place weight on the inside of the foot, you’re likely to have overpronation when running and walking. Runners with flatter feet or low arches are more likely to overpronate and have overpronation wear on shoes.

If you overpronate it is crucial that you find suitable running trainers. Often shoes with added stability will help prevent your foot from rolling too far inward, mitigating the chance of discomfort and injury.
